L.A. Chamber Exec Joins High Lantern Group

LOS ANGELES, CA – High Lantern Group announced today that Samuel Garrison will join as a Director in the firm’s Los Angeles office.  Previously, Garrison served as Vice President of Public Policy for the L.A. Area Chamber of Commerce, the region’s largest business advocacy organization.

“High Lantern Group continues to increase its client base and people,” said Rob Gluck, Managing Director of the firm’s Los Angeles office.  “Sam achieved great success for the L.A. Area Chamber, and he will make a strong addition to our team as we expand our services in Southern California.”

“I was attracted by High Lantern Group’s unique approach to positioning ideas and reputations,” said Garrison.  “Their focus and expertise is a natural extension of my work at the Chamber:  helping to frame the debate on issues critical to business growth here in Southern California.”

Garrison has deep experience working at the intersection of business strategy and public policy in the Los Angeles region.  In five years at the Chamber, he successfully positioned the organization as a state leader in business advocacy, government reform, and civic collaboration.  Previously, he worked on Capitol Hill as a personal aide to Sen. Dianne Feinstein and senior legislative aide for Rep. Adam Schiff.  He also served as press secretary and communications deputy for former L.A. City Councilmember Martin Ludlow.

Garrison is a graduate of the University of Southern California and Loyola Law School.  He was a Ford Foundation Fellow for Regional Sustainable Development and graduate of Leadership Southern California.  He is an active member of the State Bar of California.
